On July 8th, 2015 at 1:26 pm, police responded to a call for an assault that occurred at 4335 Natural Bridge. Upon arrival, the officers observed the victim lying on the parking lot of a mini mart. The victim Willie H. Reed Jr. was bleeding from the back of the head and was unconscious and not breathing.
During the course of the initial investigation it was learned that the victim and the suspect described as a black male, medium complexion, heavy build wearing a red hat and a white shirt, were involved in an argument on the parking lot. The suspect suddenly punched the victim one time in the face with a closed fist, causing the victim to fall backwards onto the pavement.
The suspect then entered the rear passenger seat of a newer model, dark colored, Cadillac XLT occupied by other unknown subjects and fled the scene.
