On June 2, 2008, 2:15 p.m Tony LaChance was walking in the 400 block of Hoffmeister Ave.when a Ford Explorer drove past him, turned and then pulled over. An unknown man got out of the Explorer, approached the victim and shot him twice. The man returned to the Explorer, paused and then walked back to the victim, shooting him again. The man returned back to the Explorer and drove off. The victim’s body was found early the next morning. Witnesses told police they saw a 1990’s Chevrolet Trailblazer driving down Lagro St. twice the week before LaChance was killed. Video recovered of the scene showed a thin to medium built man, dark hair, wearing an over sized hoody and baggy pants.
