On November 8, 2015 at approximately 8:15 p.m., victim, Sherita Dickson, along with a male friend were traveling north bound on N. Grand when they stopped at the red light at Natural Bridge. While waiting for the light to change and without provocation or warning; an unknown Black Male suspect walked up to the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle (still stopped in traffic) armed with a handgun and opened fire into the vehicle. Both occupants were shot multiple times and victim Dickson died as a result of these gunshots. The suspect fled west from the victim’s vehicle (across N. Grand) and entered a Dark Colored, Four Door Sedan that was waiting for him near the scene. Based on the fact that the intersection was very active during the incident, investigators are asking any one with information to come forward.
