At 8:13 A.M., Police responded to a call for a “Shooting”, with the victim in the rear of 3010 Thomas. Police found victim Ronald L. Smith lying face down in the rear yard at 3010 Thomas.
A second victim was located and transported to an area hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Police believe the two victims were walking in the 3100 block of Thomas when a white, unknown make/model SUV drove down Thomas Ave. and fired several shots striking both victims.
Victim Smith ran to the rear yard and collapsed; Victim #2 took refuge inside a home and awaited police/medical assistance.
