On November 9, 2016, police received a call for a shooting on southbound I-55 at Loughborough. The victim, Patrick McVey, was occupying a dark grey Ford Explorer and pulled to the right shoulder of the highway following the incident. Victim McVey died of an apparent gunshot wound. Police believe this shooting happened between 2:30-2:40pm on Wednesday afternoon.
