On October 15, 2017 at approximately 9:00 PM, Officers from the St. Louis City Police Department responded to the Grand Motel located at 2534 N. Grand for a “Shooting”. During the investigation they located the victim, Lovecia Jones lying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Witnesses stated that they observed the victim and an unknown black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans arguing prior to the shooting.
