On March 16, 2023, at 9:35 PM, St. Louis County police officers from the North County Precinct responded to a call for service for shots fired and a ShotSpotter activation in the 10400 block of Monarch Drive. Responding officers located a male in a motor vehicle that had crashed in the front yard of a residence. The male was suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries but succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.
