VICTIM: James Gates
Rodney Gates (not pictured) and his brother James Gates were both shot and killed on July 20 2006, near their home in the 3000 block of Walton Place. Officers received a call for shots fired in the area of Greer and Walton. James was located and later died at an area hospital. Rodney was then located and had already succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
