On Thursday April 23, 2015 about 11:00 PM police responded to a call for a shooting at Vandeventer and Page. The victim, Avion Polk, was located at 1318 N. Vandeventer.
Reportedly, the occupants of a dark colored Pontiac Grand Prix (with tinted windows) pulled along side of the victim stopped the vehicle and began to argue with Polk.
After the argument, gunshots were fired by the subjects in the Grand Prix, which struck Victim Polk, causing his death.
