On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers from the Moline Acres Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 9700 block of Lanier Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males with gunshot injuries. Victim#1 Demonte Dowd was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second male victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
